Lubbock County Judge Tom Head Talks Health Department and City & County Relations on Lubbock’s First News [AUDIO]

On Tuesday’s edition of Lubbock’s First News, Lubbock County Judge Tom head spoke with Chad and Rex about some of the issues affecting Lubbock County.

When asked about the progress of the Health Department, Head said that he would support the idea of the county becomng more invovled in that process.
“If we can help the citizens, and the city and the county can both benefit from that, we ought to do it.”
Head said that, as far as the relationship between city and county goes, both parties get along well for the most part, despite some disagreements. He said that he’d like to see the county play more of a role, but they only have a limited amount of money.
Head also took calls on talked about various issues affecting the county, such as voter ID, redistricting and the budget process.
