On Friday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Lubbock City Manager Lee Ann Dumbauld joined Rex and co-host Paul Beane in studio to discuss the city health department.

Dumbauld explained that, concerning the health department, the city wants to maintain the same level of service at the lowest cost, and that the facility itself is the main reason behind the changes in the health department. She said that many of the state-mandated services will be re-located elsewhere after the health department building is closed.

Dumbauld also told her side of the story concerning the presentation she made at the Health Board a week ago. Dumbauld said the crowd at the presentation was "extremely hostile," and that she was "horrified by the lack of professionalism." Dumbauld also spoke about the city budget and city workers viewing inappropriate websites.
