The Lubbock City Council meets tonight at 6:15 at City Hall. During tonight’s meeting the council will consider approving the 2013 Strategic Water Supply Plan.  The final draft of the plan was approved earlier this month by the Water Advisory Committee.  If approved, the plan would update Lubbock’s 100-Year Water Plan.

The council will also consider authorizing a series of repairs and renovations to the Lubbock Civic Center, including renovating the Civic Center Plaza; fill a number of city board vacancies including one for the Electric Utility Board, and consider a resolution which would lead to the City Council having more interaction with city agencies.

If approved, the ordinance would require quarterly presentations be made to the council for Lubbock Power & Light, the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance, Market Lubbock, the Lubbock Convention & Tourism Bureau, the Lubbock Sports Authority, Civic Lubbock, the Lubbock Bond Advisory Committee, the City of Lubbock Audit Committee and for all Tax Increment Finance District activity in the city.
