Storm water rates are once again the topic of discussion at this week’s Lubbock City Council meeting.

Council members met in executive session Tuesday to discuss implementing possible changes to the new structure.

The council will discuss executing a contract for a Storm Water Master Plan RFQ. Council members will also vote on cutting more than $78,000 from parts of the budget relating to water including storm water and waste water.

Another topic of discussion is the Maxey Community Center. The council will vote on executing a contract for the creation of plans for renovations to the Maxey Community Center with more than $2 million allocated to the total project. Construction would not begin on an approved plan until the beginning of the next fiscal year.
