State legislators from the Lubbock area will attend a luncheon next week.

The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce is hosting a State Legislative Appreciation Luncheon, featuring Texas Senator Robert Duncan and State Representatives John Frullo and Charles Perry.

The luncheon also marks the approach of the 83rd Legislative Session, which begins on January 8th. The first day to file bills is November 12th.

“We have an important legislative session coming up in January, and it’s vital that we offer events such as these to provide our members access to elected officials as well as the opportunity to learn more about state issues that will affect the economy,” said Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Chairman Tim Collins.

The event will take place at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, November 2nd at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center, located at 2322 Mac Davis Lane.

Gold level table sponsorships for a reserved table of eight are available for $500. Reservations are required for the event, and are $35 for Chamber members and $45 for prospective members.

The deadline to make reservations is Friday, October 26th.
