The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce is planning for a day to tout the Hub City to state legislators.

Community and business leaders from Lubbock travel to Austin every two years to meet with legislators and discuss issues important to the Lubbock area economy as part of Lubbock Day.

The group also shows appreciation to Lubbock-area legislators and their staff.

“It’s a great opportunity to have the voice of Lubbock and the Lubbock business community heard in Austin,” said Chamber of Commerce Chairman Carlos Morales.

The events will begin with a Legislative Reception at the Sheraton Austin Hotel next door to the Capitol on the evening of Monday, February 25th.

February 26th will include a Legislative Breakfast at The Austin Club, a group photo and legislative briefing at the Capitol, and recognition in the House and Senate. The day will wrap up with a Tuesday luncheon.

Around 100 people are expected to attend the event, including Chamber Leadership Lubbock students and many Chamber members.

Registration is limited, and closes on February 18th.
