Lubbock Car Stolen and Torched

Early yesterday morning Lubbock mother Danielle Gilbert was robbed in Northwest Lubbock.

The unknown suspect stole her father's laptop and her car keys were stolen. The car was taken around the corner, where the suspect took off its license plates and set the vehicle on fire. The car was later found near 4th and Hyden Avenue completely destroyed from the fire.

The Lubbock Fire Department was called to the scene to investigate the fire and evacuated neighbors. The call was placed after onlookers saw a man rummaging under the hood before setting the car alarm off.
