Lubbock Police are searching for suspects in two robberies Thursday night and early Friday morning.

Just after 9 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to a robbery at the Lowe’s Marketplace near 19th Street and Frankford Avenue.

According to LPD, a black male suspect armed with a handgun demanded money from three store employees that were preparing to close for the night. The suspect fled on foot after taking an undetermined amount of money.

At around 2 a.m. Friday, police officers were called to a robbery at the 7-Eleven store at 34th Street and University Avenue.

A black male suspect armed with a handgun robbed the store by demanding that the clerk empty the cash register. He then fled the scene on foot.

Two other convenience stores in the area have been robbed in the last two weeks as well.
