Photographs from the filming of Lonesome Dove are on display at the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum from September 8 until December 3.

The traveling exhibition created by the Wittliff Collections at Texas State University in San Marcos, in partnership with Humanities Texas. The pictures go behind the scenes of the popular western film. The exhibit will be visiting Canyon, Texas for visitors to view.

The Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum will host an opening event on September 8th starting at 6pm to celebrate this exhibition. The evening will begin at the home of Alice and Doug Hyde followed by a “dinner on the trail”. Tickets are $250/pair or $150 for a single ticket.
