On Tuesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, local band The Buster Duanes talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about their upcoming performances.

The Buster Duanes started out one year ago as a two-man blues band and now consists of 7 members playing guitar, drums, keyboard, and horns. Just last month, the band released their first self-titled album, recorded in Austin. The band also played a sample of their latest single off of the album: "The Expense."

Last year, the Buster Duanes won "The One: Battle of the Bands" competition at The Office Sports Bar and Grill, beating out 10 other bands. Now, the band is on their way to perform at the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festive in Austin. The Buster Duanes will perform in Austin on Wednesday, March 13th at 4:00 PM and Friday, March 15th at 11:00 PM.
