A Littlefield police officer has been cleared in the shooting of a suspect in March.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 21st, when 18-year-old Angel Uolla entered the Our Place Community Services Center in Littlefield at 9:00 a.m., holding a knife. He reportedly stabbed three people and then quickly fled the scene.

When Uolla was found two blocks away by Littlefield police, he was ordered to drop the knife. After failing to comply, Uolla was shot by Detective Sergeant Steven Farley of the Littlefield Police Department. Uolla was pronounced dead at the scene despite attempts by EMS to revive him.

Texas DPS and the Texas Rangers have since conducted a thorough investigation of the officer-involved shooting. On Tuesday, April 3rd, a Lamb County Grand Jury cleared Sergeant Farley of any criminal wrong-doing. However, the Littlefield Police Department is still conducting an administrative investigation.
