LISD Board Approves $250 Grants to Classroom Teachers

At the LISD Board of Trustees meeting today, the board approved reimbursements for classroom teachers for classroom materials purchased this school year. The checks for $250 will be funded in part by a large donation, the origins of which will be announced next week. Teachers in Texas generally are responsible for providing their own classroom supplies. The board also approved free college prep tests for students in grades 8, 10 and 11. Those tests include the Redi-Step test for 8th graders, the PSAT for 10th graders and the SAT test for 11th graders.
