On the Thursday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick joined Chad to talk about a number of hot topics in the state, with only twenty five days remaining in the 84th Texas Legislature.

The debate continues on the subject of tax relief in the state, and whether or not the relief comes in the form of reductions in property taxes, sales tax, or business taxes.

In a firm stance for property tax cuts, Patrick said,

We cannot have government at the local level grow, um, at twice and three times the people's salaries are growing. And so we're going to stand firm, we know people need it, they're being taxed out of their homes.

Patrick and Hasty also discussed border security, the state budget, and the job that Senator Charles Perry is doing in the Senate as a freshman. Patrick said,

He's doing a fantastic job, and everyone in your listening area should be very proud of your new senator Charles Perry.
