Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick Says Rural Schools Won’t Be Hurt By School Choice [INTERVIEW]

Thursday on The Chad Hasty Show, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick joined the show to talk about the intense debates taking place in Austin in the 85th Texas Legislature over the state budget and the continuing arguments over school funding.

While talking about the always controversial topic of school funding, in response to those who say that school systems lose funding when children leave to attend private or home schools, Patrick said,

It is the big lie that schools lose money when a child leaves.
