Liam Criner update

I spoke with Corporal Justin Criner of the Lubbock Police Department earlier today about his son Liam, who's facing a long road to recovery after being diagnosed with progressive idiopathic infantile scoliosis.

"I have been completely amazed at all of the love and support from our family, friends and the community of Lubbock," Criner told Awesome 98. "I am thankful and blessed."

So far, here is what's going on with Liam.

He started his therapy on Monday, June 18th, 2018, and will have therapy in 10-day increments every month for at least the next 18 months. MRI results are still pending, but those should be in within the next few days.

His mom, Mandy Criner, wrote the following:

They just took Liam back for his MRI on his spine. He was a trooper with the IV. The doctor and nurses have been awesome with him at UMC. Thank you for all the prayers and support for our family. We are very blessed to have amazing friends and family. Thank you for all the many prayers and the contributions it's just amazing all the love y'all have shown to our family.

The family is raising money for Liam's medical expenses via GoFundMe since insurance will not cover the costs of his braces or therapy.

Thanks to everyone who has given, shared, prayed and sent good vibes and thoughts to the Criner family.
