On Thursday's edition of Lubbock's First News Tonja Hagy, coordinator of the First Friday Art Trail, talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about an upcoming film screening.

This weekend, the film "Metropolis Elektro" will be showing at the Firehouse Theater in the Louise-Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts as part of the Flatland Film Festival. The film is a restoration of the 1927 sci0fi silent film. Hagy said one of the big draws about this showing is the new musical score, composed by local artists Scott and Amy Farris. She added that the score will actually be performed live on stage in conjunction with the film.

"Metropolis Elektro" will be screened Friday, March 22nd and Saturday, March 23rd at 7 PM at the Firehouse Theater. There will also be a brief reception prior to Friday night's screening. Tickets will be available at the door, but Hagy warned that seating is limited and buying tickets in advance would be preferred.

To pre-order tickets, call 806-762-8606. For more information on the film, visit the Flatland Film website at flatlandfilm.org.
