Levelland Police Investigating Possible Homicide

One man is dead and another in police custody after a shooting Friday afternoon in Levelland.

The shooting took place around 4:30pm in the 300 block of North Avenue M. A man was found dead in the street that could possibly have entered the home of the shooter. The shooter is a convicted felon and not able to have a firearm legally.

Levelland Police are currently investigating the case. This is the first shooting in Levelland since 2006.
