Levelland’s mayor managed to escape charges stemming from an incident involving a building inspector.

No charges were levied against Waymon Jackson by a Hockley County grand jury Thursday, according to KAMC 28.

A building inspector videotaped Jackson knocking the camera out of his hands, and then later pushing the inspector in June of 2012.

The argument began over plumbing work. The case was prosecuted by a special prosecutor from Yoakum County.

Misdemeanor charges could still be pressed against Jackson.
