Friday on Lubbock's First News, Tom and Laura spoke with Andy Nichols and Travis Burge who gave the details on the upcoming production.

Moonlight Musicals has combined efforts with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra to put on performances of Les Miserables this month. Performances will take place November 21-24 at the Lubbock Civic Center Theater.

Burge described the plot: "Miserable times. Back in the 1800s whenever...the smaller [French revolution] took place [in which] the students got together and tried to rebel against the new form of government that had just taken place. It's the storyline that falls in between. It mainly follows the character Valjean and Javert."

LSO and Moonlight Musicals are welcoming Rebecca Saathoff Davis, daughter of LSO's CEO along with David Gaschen, a Lubbock native, who will be performing a leading role of Jean Valjean .

For tickets, visit Select-A-Seat website or call 806-770-2000. More information can be found on the Moonlight Musicals website.
