Lubbock firefighters were called to a house fire at 27th Street and Avenue X at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

One person was seriously injured in that fire and taken to a local hospital for treatment. The Fire Marshal’s Office is still investigating what caused the fire.

That wasn't the only fire Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to Wednesday night. They were also called to a fire at an apartment quadraplex at around 8:15 p.m. near 74th Street and Avenue X.

KAMC News reports that potentially two rooms of the quadraplex were damaged by the fire, but fortunately no injuries have been reported. The fire department is investigating the cause of that fire as well.
