Komen Lubbock to Host Team Captain Training Thursday

Team leaders for a noteworthy organization will undergo training this week.

Komen Lubbock will host a team captain training for all new and returning Race for the Cure captains on Thursday, August 2^nd.

The Race for the Cure is scheduled for Saturday, October 6^th at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, and includes a 5K and 1 mile run/walk.

Team early registration for the 2012 Race for the Cure is also available on the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Lubbock Area website at www.komenlubbock.org.

Two sessions of team captain training will be held at noon and 5 p.m. at the Komen Lubbock office at 7412 University Avenue #2.

Participants for the Race for the Cure can register in person at the South Plains Mall beginning on Saturday, September 22^nd.

Komen Lubbock has raised more than $5.2 million since 1995, and invested more than $3.2 million to the South Plains community through its own mission work and education, screening, and treatment grants.
