Kliff Kingsbury Has Perfect Response to Question About Donald Trump’s ‘Locker Room’ Comments
Donald Trump's lewd remarks about sexual assault aren't only being discussed on social media.
During Texas Tech's weekly press conference, head football coach Kliff Kingsbury fielded a question about how he would address any sexist/offensive "locker room talk" if he heard it in the Red Raiders locker room.
After chuckling a little about someone "putting the reporter up to this," Kingsbury was frank about the issue.
"I'm never back there to even hear it, so I hope none of that is going on," Kingsbury said, adding: "We'll leave that to the politicians to discuss."
The comments in question were made by Trump in 2005, picked up by a hot mic during a talk with NBC personality Billy Bush. In the audio recording, Trump told Bush that he tried to have sex with a married woman whom he called a "bitch" and made a reference to grabbing women by the genitalia.
There certainly is more for Kingsbury to concern himself with than political fallout in the 2016 presidential race. Texas Tech fell to 3-2 this weekend after a narrow loss to Kansas State and star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is still recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered during the Kansas game.
Texas Tech takes on West Virginia at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock this Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
