A Texas branch of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is planning to hold a demonstration in the Dallas area over the relocation of Syrian refugees coming to Texas.

The controversial group based in Quinlan announced on their website that they will protest the Syrian resettlement in Irving in May 2016.

The KKK group intended to hold the demonstrations in Irving earlier, but no suitable locations could be found, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The Dallas suburb has seen a plethora of demonstrations relating to Islam. Most recently, there was a protest outside an Irving mosque last month that included armed protesters which garnered national attention to the group.

The Dallas Morning News also reports that a demonstration will occur on December 12 close to the Irving mosque that says it will be United Against Racism in taking a stand against so-called "hate groups."
