Keke Coutee Is Now a Semifinalist for a Prestigious Award

The Biletnikoff Trophy has a chance to return to Lubbock for the first time since Michael Crabtree took home back to back awards back in 2007 and 2008. The man with the opportunity at gold is none other than Texas Tech junior receiver Keke Coutee, who was named as an Biletnikoff Trophy semifinalist.

The Biletnikoff Trophy goes to the most admirable pass catcher in college football. The last Red Raider semifinalist was Jace Amaro.

Texas Tech junior wide receiver Keke Coutee was named Monday a semifinalist for the prestigious Biletnikoff Trophy, which is presented annually to the nation’s top receiver regardless of position.

According to texastech.com, Coutee ranks among the top receivers in the country this season as he has caught a team-leading 71 passes for 1,064 yards and nine touchdowns. He is averaging 106.4 yards per game entering this weekend’s tilt against TCU, a mark that ranks fifth nationally.

That stats don't stop there for Coutee, who's the only receiver nationally that's in the top 10 in every receiving category. He's 4th in yards, 9th in touchdowns and 9th in receptions per game. He's also in the top 10 of yards per game.

Not only is Coutee a weapon on the offensive side, he's also a dangerous kick returner. He proved that against Baylor when he took the opening kickoff to the house. You can watch that epic clip here.
