Karen Gibson Talks the Budget on Lubbock’s First News
Mayor Pro Tem Karen Gibson joined Tom Collins and Laura Mac this morning on Lubbock's First News Friday morning to talk about the latest City Council meeting.
Gibson talked about the Council giving initial approval to the budget and tax rate for the 2013-2014 Fiscal Year.
The Council cut the budget by $6 million, removed $15 million in a smart meter project for Lubbock Power and Light, and approving 1.23 percent property tax increase.
