A judge has granted a trial by jury for a Lockney kennel whose dogs were removed late last month. Dogs taken from the Alpha Tex Kennels will remain in foster homes until the trial is held. Floyd County Justice of the Peace Judge Tali Jackson has not yet set a trial date.

Thursdays hearing was originally scheduled for October 3rd but was delayed.

Around 260 dogs were removed from the property under a warrant in Floyd County because of poor living conditions. Many of the animals were taken to Lubbock, where temporary foster homes were found. You can read more about the case here.
