The man arrested at the center of the disappearance of an East Texas teenager has been charged. Juan Fabian Arenas Delacruz (pictured), who was arrested by Lubbock Police on Wednesday, has been charged with one count of Aggravated Kidnapping by Nacogdoches County authorities. Delacruz is currently being held in the Lubbock County Jail.

It was also discovered that Delacruz is in the U.S. illegally. He may be turned over to U.S. Border Patrol agents before facing charges in both Nacogdoches County and Lubbock.

Delacruz was arrested Wednesday at a construction site on the Texas Tech campus near 19th Street and Louisville. After being arrested he gave up the location of the missing teenager, Nomei Velazquez.

Police found the 15 year-old Velazquez at the Sunset Square Motel in the 1600 block of 38th Street.  Velazquez was unharmed and taken to a local hospital by police for a medical evaluation. She will eventually be taken back home to Nacogdoches County.
