Jose Alfredo Garcia Sentenced For Molesting Stepdaughter

A Lubbock man who pleaded guilty to molesting his stepdaughter has received his prison sentence.

Jose Alfredo Garcia received a 40-year prison sentence for aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Garcia was originally indicted in 2012, and faced a sentence between five and 99 years for the crime, where he inappropriately touched a girl who was under the age of 14 and sexually assaulted her.

The 33-year-old Garcia will have to serve at least 20 years of his sentence before being eligible for parole. Garcia is in police custody.
