A warrant for the arrest of a former Coronado coach has been issued after allegations that he may have displayed behavior unbecoming of a teacher with a former student.

Former Coronado High School coach Jordan Nokes has been accused of an inappropriate student-teacher relationship. After accusations were made, Nokes was questioned on Thursday, then resigned on Friday.

Lubbock ISD sent out a statement saying that the incident only involved one student and that the parents had been notified as well as the State Board of Educator Certification.

The parents of the student have launched an investigation with police, and Nokes is no longer allowed on campus.

Nokes, 25, had also been arrested for a DWI in 2012 that he had just finished probation for in 2014.
