A Texas Senator criticized a colleague in the Senate over a recent tax vote that he claims will increase taxes on business owners.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn criticized Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) for increasing taxes on those who make $250,000 or more.

The vote on Wednesday in the Senate was passed 51-48 with Democrat Jim Webb of Virginia and Independent Joe Lieberman of Connecticut joined the 46 Senate Republicans in voting against the bill.

The bill is not expected to be passed in the House of Representatives, which controlled by the Republicans.

Cornyn claimed that Reid didn’t help his fellow Democrats saying,

I am very surprised Sen. Reid would throw his members under the bus on this vote.”
