U.S. Senator John Cornyn continued his criticism of the Obama Administration and the looming fiscal crisis facing the country.

Cornyn, a member of the Senate Budget Committee, issued a statement after the United States added $1 Trillion to the national debt for the fifth straight year.

Cornyn said, “This dismal benchmark underscores the President’s aversion to making tough fiscal choices, as well as the glaring absence of a Democrat budget in the Senate for over three years.

Republicans in Congress continue to produce budgets that cut spending, reform entitlements, and simplify the tax code, but the President and our colleagues refuse to confront our fiscal reality.”

The fiscal year just ended its 3rd quarter and the government has added $1 Trillion to the national debt.
