On the Friday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Jodey Arrington joined the show in the KFYO studio to talk about the many different issues facing the nation.

Arrington is running for the the District 19 U.S. House of Representatives seat being vacated by Randy Neugebauer.

Hasty asked Arrington why, with congress having a 78 percent disapproval rating with the American public, he would want to go to Washington as a representative.

"First of all, West Texas and the Big Country deserve the strongest and most effective representation to promote the values that quite frankly, America needs to put it back on track." Arrington said, adding: "Number two, I mean, I'm a proud American like your listeners, like yourself, and I'm very concerned with the direction of our country. I've got three children, and quite frankly, I am not convinced that they're going to have the same freedoms, the same opportunities and the same security that you and I have enjoyed. And, so I feel like it's our generation's duty to step up and to lead, and I have the experience to do that."

When asked by Hasty about Arrington's statement about turning conservative values into conservative results, he pointed to how Americans are sick and tired of typical Washington values.

"Americans are fed up with Washington, I'm fed up with Washington, who isn't? I mean, who isn't tired of hearing all the talk and no action while our country is driving off a cliff," Arrington asked rhetorically.

Arrington also touched on the recent Planned Parenthood controversy and abortion, as well as government shutdowns, his qualifying experience, Obamacare, jobs, the national debt, good farm bills and strong representation of the agriculture community.
