Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin the Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week as well as other auto industry news.

This week Jerry was driving around in the 2019 Mercedes E53 AMG Coupe, which he said was a good follow up to his previous car the 2019 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe. He said that the Mercedes E53 was a little larger, and surprisingly not as fast compared to the Cadillac, but that you can't really tell the difference. The Mercedes has 430 horses, and a Miles Hybrid Setup, a variation to the engine that will instantly give the car 20 more horsepower when you step on the gas, as well as 180 extra lb feet of torque.

"This car, when you're just driving it normal, performs well, has a nice exhaust sound, beautiful interior, but then when you really need that power, this 48 volts of electricity goes through it and kicks it up."

Jerry went on to explain that since the car is so new, that it did not come with a window sticker price. The base price for the car is $73,700, but he predicts that with all of the options that the car can come with, that the price will end up being closer to $90,000.

The Car Pro also talked about some stories on his website carprousa.com, such as one about the sales numbers coming in for the month of September, which includes the sales numbers for General Motors who only report once every three months, a move that Jerry is not a fan of.
