As November came to an end, the National Weather Service reported just over a quarter of an inch (0.26) of precipitation for November.  That brought the total for the year to a whopping 4.34 inches.  That’s about 14 inches below normal for the year.

According to the National Weather Service, the normal annual precipitation for Lubbock is 19.12 inches.  That means we need 14.78 inches of rain in December for this to be a normal year.

That’s about a half inch each and every day until the end of the year.
