A recent recall of several automobile manufacturers that had been issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has been updated to include more vehicles on Wednesday.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is alerting owners of several types of automobiles that their airbags might explode in extreme heat or humidity, with the possibility of metal shrapnel injuring the driver. Vehicles that have Takata manufactured airbags are subject to the recall. Vehicles involved in but not specifically in the recall are 2002-2004 Toyotas, 2001-2011 Hondas, 2001-2003 Nissans and Infinitys, 2003-2004 Mazdas, 2000-2006 BMWs,2004-2007 Mitusubishis, 2003-2005 Subarus, and 2002-2003 General Motors vehicles.
