Wendy Davis is the Democrat running for Governor in Texas. She is well known because of her filibuster during the last legislative session and was encouraged by state and national Democrats to run for Governor. Battleground Texas, the group that has a mission to turn Texas blue went all in with Davis. In Tuesday's primary though, Davis couldn't break 80% statewide while losing 7 of the 14 counties along the Texas/Mexico border. Critics of Davis point ignoring that region for the reason why she lost those counties to a candidate who hardly raised any money. The Davis campaign has been criticized by Republican and Democratic pundits with some liberals saying that she just isn't ready for prime-time.

With Democrats wanting to turn Texas blue as soon as possible, is Wendy Davis helping or hurting that effort?
