Is Tubby Smith the Right Person to Lead the Texas Tech Basketball Program? [POLL]

At 2pm today, Texas Tech officials will introduce Tubby Smith as the new Head Coach for Texas Tech Basketball. Smith won a National Championship with Kentucky in 1998 and for the past six years he was the head coach at Minnesota. Smith was fired from Minnesota on March 25th.

Fan reaction has been mixed in regards to Tech hiring Tubby Smith. Many fans wanted Chris Walker to be named head coach as they liked his youthful energy and his potential. With Smith, Tech officials seemed to have wanted to go with experience.
