Here are just a few things in Chad’s Pile that you will hear on Lubbock’s First News this morning. Give Chad your feedback on the steaming topics.

1. Santorum ignores reality (link)

Mr. Irrelevant, Rick Santorum, is again taking shots at Rick Perry. According to Politico:

Rick Santorum lambasted Rick Perry as a lightweight on Israel policy Tuesday, dismissing Perry’s speech in New York as boilerplate rhetoric crafted by political handlers.

“I’ve forgotten more about Israel than Rick Perry knows about Israel,” Santorum said during a conversation with POLITICO on Tuesday, while Perry was addressing a rally of people opposed to the Palestinian statehood vote in New York. “There he is, reading a speech that I’m sure he didn’t write, and has never taken a position on any of this stuff before, and [the media is] taking this guy seriously.”

Santorum is polling around 2% right now in the GOP race so unless he is actually working to get Obama re-elected, I'm not sure why he feels like he must attack Perry everyday.

2. Ryan thinks Perry is right (link)

Karl Rove is not going to like this...

The Republican chairman of the House Budget Committee on Tuesday drew fire from the Democrats for backing Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s description of Social Security as a “Ponzi scheme.”

Social Security fits the technical definition of a Ponzi scheme, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) told conservative Laura Ingraham on her radio show.

“It’s not a criminal enterprise, but it’s a pay-as-you-go system, where earlier investors—or say, taxpayers—get a positive rate of return, and the most recent investors—or taxpayers—get a negative rate of return,” he said. “That is how those schemes work.”

You know why Paul Ryan agrees with Rick Perry? Because Perry is right!

3. The most miserable cities (link)

Here is the latest collection of miserable cities in the United States. On the list you will find many cities in California and Florida. Of course Detroit is on the list and so is Las Vegas. Do you disagree with any of the cities on the list?
