This past Thursday Governor Rick Perry blasted the Obama Administration for failing to issue a disaster declaration for the state. Obama quickly issued on for Alabama which was hit by multiple tornado's, but when half Texas is on fire, we get nothing. Here is what Perry told WOAI radio in San Antonio:

"You see hundreds of thousands of acres of Texas burning and you know that there will soon be emergency declarations, and we did that now a couple of weeks ago, but still no response from this administration."

"There is a point in time where you say, hey, what's going on here," Perry said.  "You have to ask why are you taking care of Alabama and other states?  I know our letter didn't get lost in the mail."

I'm not saying that Alabama doesn't deserve the disaster declaration, they were hit hard and need some help. So does Texas though. Texas has been scorched by these fires and they seem to be getting worse and worse yet we hear nothing from the White House.

Do you think Texas is being ignored? Is it political payback? Or if Gov. Rick Perry just using the issue to get a few jabs in at President Obama?
