Is LP&L Good For Lubbock? [POLL]

Lubbock Power & Light seems to be on the mind of everyone these days. LP&L has been a point of debate and discussion ever since they bought out Excel Energy and became a public owned monopoly in the city. Now, you won't catch anyone on the City Council saying the "M-word", but let's be honest, it is a monopoly. Over the weekend I heard more and more people hating the fact that competition is gone in Lubbock. That brings me to today's question. Is LP&L good for Lubbock?

Surging prices (just look at your last bill), power outages, monopoly, and lack luster customer support (including their website) all have folks in Lubbock talking. Let us know what you think!
