Thursday on Lubbock's First News, Jill Patterson with Texas Tech's Iron Horse Literary Review gave details on the upcoming short films film festival.

The film festival will be held Saturday, May 3, at 7 p.m. in room 101 of the English and Philosophy building at the Texas Tech campus. The evening will feature short films that convey essays and stories from artists around the country. Four flavors of gourmet popcorn will be provided. Tickets to the film festival can be purchased online for $25 ($10 for TTU students) or for $30 ($20 for TTU students) at the door. Patterson said, "We just want to share that with people, raise a little awareness of Iron Horse, and just have a good time."
