iPhone App Helps Man Catch Cheating Spouse

The Find Your Friends app can help you keep track of your buddies when you're on vacations, or keep an eye on your kids when they come home from school. It can also, apparently, help you find a cheating spouse.

Last Saturday, a New York man posted the following to the chat forum site MacRumors.com: "Divorcing wife. Thanks iPhone 4s and Find My Friends." According to the post, the man bought his wife a new iPhone 4s with the Find My Friends app installed without her knowledge.  He then said his wife claimed she was in East Village, but the app showed she was actually much further uptown.  The husband later posted screen captures of the map showing his wife's current location, along with a text message saying she was somewhere else.

MacRumors has not verified whether this story is true or not, but it just goes to show you that, once again, smart phones can get dumb people in a lot of trouble. You know, if someone were to actually come up with an app designed to track down a cheating spouse, I bet they could make a whole lot of money...
