Icy Conditions Contribute to Fatal Hale Center Crash

A man is dead after an accident on an icy road in Hale Center this morning. The Plainview Daily Herald reports that 69-year-old Enrique Carillo-Rodriguez hit an icy patch of road on an I-27 overpass which caused him to lose control. His 2005 Dodge Ram tumbled several times, ejecting Carillo-Rodriguez from the vehicle. He died at around 6:00 this morning at Covenant Hospital in Plainview. He was not wearing a seat belt during the crash.
