Mayor Tom Martin and the Lubbock Police Department have floated the idea of having a new police station in Lubbock. Some say that the current facility is too small and is in poor condition. During Mayor Martin's brief appearance on LFN on Wednesday he brought up the point of possibly needing a bond election to build a new police station. The Mayor has said in the past that he doesn't believe a bond election would pass right now, but in the future it would.
