James Nesmith, administrative manager of the Science Spectrum, joined Lubbock's First News to discuss the impact airplanes have had on human history.

Nesmith gave a brief synopsis of a new film in the omni, Living in the Age of Airplanes. The film is produced by National Geograhpic and, ironically, isn't about airplanes in general.

"It's not about the history of airplanes or the history of aviation," said Nesmith. "It's a film about how the airplane has changed the course of human history."
