A Houston woman was able to locate the slain body of her husband through an iPhone app.

Tristian Porter, a 20-year-old Houston man, is being held on $50,000 bond for the fatal shooting of his friend, 23-year-old Ramon Acosta during a drug deal, according to Harris County Authorities.

Carla Melendez, Acosta's wife, discovered his body early Thursday after using a tracking app on her iPhone linked to his phone. The phone was found in some woods near the victim's body.

So it seems that Melendez was keeping track of her husband before the fatal shooting for whatever reasons, but it certainly helped her in this circumstance to find her husband's body, which led authorities to find his alleged killer.
