Houston Man Shot by Police After Putting Butcher Knife to Toddler’s Throat

A Houston man was killed by police when he threatened his toddler with a butcher knife.

Police were called Wednesday night when neighbors heard the father of the toddler fighting with a woman in an apartment.

When police forced their way into the apartment the woman, who had been holding the boy, put him down and ran outside.

The man then picked up the child and put a butcher knife to the child’s throat while smoking crack from a pipe.

To protect the child police then shot the man. He did not survive the injury.

The toddler was not injured.

According to police the boy’s mother was in the complex, but she was not the woman involved in the incident.
