Houston Man, 21, Charged with Fatally Shooting His Father
HOUSTON (AP) — A 21-year-old Houston man has been arrested and charged with murder for fatally shooting his father.
Authorities say Dentrell Adam Claverie was arrested after an argument at a Houston apartment escalated to gunfire.
Relatives say Claverie was acting in self-defense after his father, whose name hasn't been released, was intoxicated and refused to leave late Sunday night. When officers arrived, they found the man had been shot at least four times.
Claverie is set for a court appearance Tuesday. Court records do not list an attorney for him.
