On the Thursday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Jennifer Mertiz from Buffalo Springs Lake talked with Chad Hasty about the lake’s upcoming hot air balloon event.

The South Plains Hot Air Balloon Round Up will take place this weekend at Buffalo Springs Lake. Meritz explained that the event is sponsored by the Southwest Regional Balloon Club, and that this is the first time in several years that hot air balloons will be returning to the lake. She said that, in addition to the many balloons taking off form the lake, there will also be a tethered hot air balloon ride available for free on Saturday.

The Hot Air Balloon Round Up will start Saturday, September 14th and will last until Sunday, September 15th. Balloons will start taking off at sunrise, weather permitting. Admission for the two-day event is $6 for adults, and kids 11 and under get in free.
