Homelessness, Internet and Kids, Special Session, and More -Chad’s Steaming Pile

Here are just a few things in Chad’s Pile that you will hear on Lubbock’s First News this morning. Give Chad your feedback on the steaming topics.

1. Homeless Recommendations

The City Council heard recommendations from the homelessness committee on Tuesday. What were the recommendations and do they encourage enabling? Will the city listen to what the committee says? Should they? We will discuss it this morning on LFN.

2. Can the Internet Really Harm You?

At least one writer is now saying that using the internet can harm the way we think and that we need to “unplug” every now and then. Parents, have you noticed anything different about your kids after they spend a long time online? Do you set online time limits?

3. Special Session Day 2

Lawmakers continue to fight and we will get you caught up with everything that happened in Austin yesterday. There are only 2 issues right now in the special session, and I personally think that’s a good idea. Let’s solve everything dealing with the budget now and later if Gov. Perry wants, we can go after some other issues. Though I still think the Sanctuary Cities bill in dead.

4. Rex is Back

Rex Andrew is back in studio this morning so everyone has to be on their best behavior. What will Rex be fired up about today? Tune in and see.

These and many more topics coming up on Wednesday’s edition of Lubbock’s First News with Chad Hasty. Tune in mornings 6-9am on News/Talk 790 KFYO, streaming online at kfyo.com, and now on your iPhone and Android device with the radioPup App.
